When NUS Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) approached us for their anniversary event, we knew it was an opportunity to turn science beyond space into something tangible and fun. The task? Create custom plushies inspired by three of the museum’s most iconic specimens: a whale skeleton, a giant isopod, and a vibrant bird.

🌟 The Idea: The museum wanted to celebrate its anniversary with merchandise that would engage visitors and highlight its unique collection. Our mission? To bring these specimens to life in plush form.
🎨 The Design: Each plushie was designed to capture the distinct characteristics of the specimens, blending accurate representation with Spaceytales’ signature creative touch. To add even more value, each plushie came with a thoughtfully designed washing label tag that resembled a museum specimen label, complete with educational information about the specimen. This subtle touch ensured that the plushies were not only fun but also educational keepsakes.
🚀 The Impact: The plushies became a hit, serving as both adorable keepsakes and conversation starters for visitors. They celebrated the museum’s rich biodiversity while making natural history accessible to everyone—kids and adults alike.
